The numbers. How many people are online??

Posted on Friday, July 13, 2007 at 01:46PM by Registered CommenterInternet Safety Educator | Comments4 Comments

In a press release issued yesterday, comScore announced that a whopping 772 million people were online in May 2007, worldwide.  This is an increase from 766 million in April 2007.  (comScore defined those who were 15 years or older, who accessed the Internet from home or work in the past 30 days).

Google continues to lead as the most popular site, reaching about 70% of Internet users, with Microsoft and Yahoo rounding out the top 3.

Now if I could only get that traffic to this site!! Hmm. New idea.

If you had 700 million visitors I doubt your site would be able to handle it.

Amazing how popular the internet is now though.
